Watt, Co-Chair of the Order of Canada event cordially invite you to the 19th annual Order of Canada and Order of British Columbia special celebration luncheon on Thursday, June 8, 2016 to honour all Order of Canada and Order of British Columbia members and new inductees. The Honourable Robert J. Bauman, Chief Justice of British Columbia, Court of Appeal for British Columbia, Court of Appeal Yukon, will address Is There a Legal Duty to Do Good. Rick Cluff, CBC Radio, Early Edition, will be our Master of Ceremonies.
Established in 1967 by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the Order of Canada is the cornerstone of the Canadian Honours System, and recognizes outstanding achievement, dedication to the community and service to the nation.
The Order of British Columbia was established by statute on April 21, 1989, to recognize those persons who have served with the greatest distinction and excelled in any field of endeavour benefiting the people of the Province or elsewhere.
