We hope you are enjoying good health, and making the best of these challenging circumstances. Personally, I am very grateful for technologies like Zoom, which have helped us keep in touch in at least some ways – and I’ve been heartened at seeing some of your friendly faces at recent TCC virtual events. Our back-of-house discussions are starting to focus more on what “moving forward” will look like over the next few weeks. TCC is participating in hospitality industry discussions regarding operations and best practices for re-opening when it becomes possible to do so. It’s an interesting, and sometimes daunting, set of challenges to navigate.
In the meantime though, we have put together a new way to temporarily support our local community using the resources we have on hand – those being food supplies, and talented people. I’m pleased to introduce “TakeMeHomeAndMakeMeHot.com, ” our new online order system for food, beer, and wine available for purchase.
Please check it out, and feel free to share with any friends or family around TCC that you think would enjoy. All the products on the site (including both Heat & Serve dishes as well as unprepared food items, beer, and wine) are available to TCC Members and non-members, for purchase using a credit card. Purchases can be picked up from the Club between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Note that because of limited staffing and the temporary nature of this initiative, orders must be placed and paid for through the website, using a credit card. This allows us to open our offerings to both members and our members friends, but TCC does not have the ability at this time to charge these purchases to member accounts.
We look forward to bringing you more initiatives and updates as they become available. Until then, I wish you continued good health and a positive mindset.
My best,
Peter Jackman
